Mit "We are with but not of Europe" drückte Winston Churchill das Verhältnis der Grobritanischen Insulaner zum europäischen Festland aus.

As former Superpower that included 1/4 of worlds population in its Kingdom the British never got along well giving more and more political decissions over to a future superpower of Europe. Therefore they did not want Euro which is one of the few successtories we where able to achive in 50 years of struggle for Europe.

Where the British can get along well with the pound, well they are in danger of becomming a member of seccond class in the europeen family. Because they did not share the euro british finance minister have to leave the room when it comes to politics concerning the euro currency. Such and other drowbacks will not realy help to make the british feel as europeen as we like them to.

Meanwhile they do get along with the USA quite well which originates from the interest for a former superpower of Greatbritain to be close to a superpower of today. Wheather they got the idear of going to war in Irak was not realy their own ambition, but more so a service for big brother USA, we don`t know for sure. Somehow the author can`t believe the british are able to make somebody like George Bush a prime minister.

The british should consider whether their influence might be better placed in the European Union then get lost on the other side of atlantic. But do voting people in Britain know all about Europe and the gread benefit the pollicy of eurocurrency is doing to british economy and has done since its founding. And regardless of knowing perhaps its more so a proud feeling of long gone days that keeps them from beeing europeen. The knowlage of the old and great british empire that gave industialisation and other improvements to the world may not be easly forgotten.

As long as the british bullevardpress is reminding the public of old greateness and suverenity on the one side an on the other is supporting fears of loosing controll to bruessel public mood woun`t change. Some politics in the kingdom forgot to explain and involve the public earlier for we now have to work hard to inform people, take away fears and let them voto into or out of Europe. An undicided Greatbritain can and will hurt European Community and therefore we don`t want them any more.

Es war nicht George W. Bush, der mit seinem zumindest in Europa als dümmlich und unverantwortlich bezeichneten Handel, die USA von ihrer Position als Supermacht reißt, er hat den Sturz lediglich beschleunigt.

Wie sich der 11. September aufklären wird, spielt für mich keine Rolle, die unglaubwürdigen und teilweise sogar dumm-dreisten Lügen der amerikanischen Regierung haben in den USA zu einer Wiederwahl derselben geführt, in Europa aber für Verwunderung gesorgt. Vielleicht haben die Europäer einfach besser zugehört:

Während sich die Amerikaner Ölreservoires im Irak für eine völlig veraltete und gewissenlose Wirtschaftspolitik gesichert haben, dürfen wir uns für ein gemeinsames Feindbild der Europäer, nämlich der Amerikaner, bedanken. Die Amerikaner haben die Glaubwürdigkeit verloren, die Ideologische bereits in der gefälschten Wiederwahl und die Christliche im Ressourcen-Krieg im Irak. Jetzt haben sie auch noch die wirtschaftliche Glaubwürdigkeit vertan, indem sich die Amerikaner VIELE VIELE Milliarden Dollar aus dem Ausland geliehen haben, diese als schlecht abgesicherte Kredite an die kleinen Amerikaner weitergegeben haben um die eigenen Wirtschaft über Konsum zu retten, jetzt sind die Kredite geplatzt und die Welt muss ihre amerikanischen Immobilien-Forderungen abschreiben, weil sie wertlos sind.

Der Dollar fällt ins Bodenlose, der Euro bleibt stabil, die chinesische Supermacht schichtet ihr Rücklagen von Dollar in Euro um, und auch andere Staaten haben damit begonnen.

Es bleibt die Hoffnung, dass wir als Europäer mit unserer Verantwortung besser umgehen, als es die Supermächte vor uns getan haben. Wir haben eine überaus blutige Geschichte, aber wir haben gelernt Kulturkriege in den Köpfen zu spielen und nicht mehr unschuldige abzuschlachten, um unsere Interessen zu vertreten - wir kaufen uns neue Länder, und sie heißen den europäischen Wohlstand willkommen.
